Cynthia A. Dolcimascolo (nee Sandage), cherished wife of Ned Dolcimascolo, passed away on July 11th in Ocala, FL at the age of 75. Born in Chicago, IL and a long-time resident of the South Side, Cynthia married her husband, Ned, in 1967. They enjoyed over 56 years of marriage and raised three sons together. Cynthia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, always putting others before herself. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, watching the Bears, and doting on her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her unconditional love to family and friends.
Cynthia is survived by her husband, Ned; her three sons, Phillip, Kevin, and John; her daughters-in-law Susan and Celeste, her five grandchildren, Juliana, Katie, Elizabeth, Valentino, and Domenica; and her great-grandson Noah. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will deeply miss her.
A wake will be held on Thursday July 20th from 3pm to 8pm at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence, Norridge, IL. A funeral service will take place at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023, a private, family-only entombment will take place at Christ the King mausoleum, Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to either the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation, the Police Chaplains Ministry, or the American Cancer Society.
