It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to our dear sister, Dr. Corazon C Castroverde-Diokno. She was not only a beloved sister, wonderful daughter, and loving wife but also an inspirational role model and mentor for women of all ages. Her guidance, support, and unwavering love will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Dr. Castroverde-Diokno was a reliable best friend and a tita who touched the lives of all her nieces and nephews (Aaron, Zachary, Jessica, Candice, Charisse, Elaine, Colt, Alex, and Elizabeth) and a great-aunt to Cecilia, Elinor, Max, and Emma Cion. Her passing is deeply felt by her surviving siblings, Celeste C Scroggins (David), Caesar Castroverde (Grace), and her best friend, Amelita Joson, and cousins and relatives that she touched with her infectious smile and generous heart that spanned the globe from New York to the Philippines.
She will find peace and be reunited with our mom and dad, Conrado, and Exaltacion, her loving husband Jose, and our brothers Conrado Jr. (Mary Ellen) and Conrado III (Dr. Elaine).
As a graduate of the University of the Philippines Dental School, Dr. Diokno was a pioneer in her industry as an Asian women dentist, a rare sight when she began her career in the 1970s! However, it is her role as a sister, daughter, wife, aunt, and friend that will always be remembered. She was reliable, trustworthy, and always there when needed and wanted.
Dr. Diokno has left an indelible mark on all those she touched, and her passing is a significant loss. Rest in peace, dear sister. You will be missed immensely, but your legacy will live on forever.
