Concetta Caranfa

Concetta "Connie" Caranfa, age 75, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2024 with her family by her side. Connie was the beloved wife of Franco "Frank" Caranfa for 53 wonderful years; loving mother of Nancy (Marc) Jackson and Maria (Courtney Grove) Caranfa; dearest daughter of the late Florinda and Mario Buccini; cherished nonna of Veronica and Luke Jackson; dear sister of Carmen and Tony Buccini and sister-in-law of Carmela Caranfa; fond aunt of Paola and Maria Teresa and great aunt of Federico, Luca, Martina and Stefano.

Connie was a strong woman and a hard worker. Her passions were cooking, baking, gardening, listening and dancing to music. Connie was extremely devoted to her Catholic faith and was a member of the Italian-Catholic Federation in Chicago. Her family was everything to her. She had many friends and valued her friends as family. Her life was a true example of faith, hope, and charity.

Visitation Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home, and will then proceed to St. Francis Borgia Church, 8033 W. Addison St., for mass at 10:00 a.m. The entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Des Plaines.
