Christopher Kalinowski, age 56, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024 with his family by his side. Christopher was the beloved companion of Rhonda Tishel; beloved by his former wife Tammy Kalinowski, the loving father of Heather Bassie, Christopher II (Christina), Matthew and Daniel Kalinowski; dearest son of Eugenia and the late Stanley Kalinowski; proud grandfather of Rylee, Christopher III "C.J.", Charlotte and Ethan; dear brother of Caroline
(Steven) Pytlak and fond uncle of Andrew and Lukas Pytlak.
Christopher expressed fierce love and pride for his children and grandchildren. He often imparted wisdom onto others and lent a helping hand. He was an expert in the kitchen after growing up working in his family’s deli. He found joy in spending hours preparing big meals for his family to enjoy on any occasion. He also enjoyed lake life- fishing, boating, and the serenity of nature.
From your children: Dad, we hope you have found eternal happiness and peace. We will continue to make you proud through the way we show up for our family and future families. We know you will be watching over us, and look forward to feeling your presence on all the special days we have ahead. We love you.
Visitation Monday, November 11, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to St. Eugene Church in Chicago for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The entombment will follow at Maryhill Mausoleum in Niles.
