Charles Driscoll

November 17, 1935 — January 21, 2022

Charles J. Driscoll, age 86, of Chicago, IL passed away on January 21, 2022.

Charles was the beloved husband of Evelyn (nee Joseph); Loving father of Alice Polyak (the late William) and Karen Driscoll; Devoted Pops of Jessica, William and Daniel; Proud great grandfather to Ava, Leah and Violet. Charles was the dear brother of Mary Lou Strazzera and his late brothers James and Leo Driscoll. Loving uncle to many nieces, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Evelyn and his parents Francis J. and Geraldine (nee MacDowell).

In 1953, Charles served in the United States Navy, he then eventually transferred to and served in the National Guard. On July 5, 1963 Charles was honorably discharged from the United States Navy.

Charles always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips, he was dependable and never missed a birthday phone call. His kind-hearted spirit, ability to make people laugh and passion for storytelling will be sorely missed — not just by humans but by his many loyal dog companions, including Holly.
