Cecilia L. Distor

Cecilia L. Distor was born and raised in Rizal, Laguna, Philippines. After graduating from the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, she began her career at Mercury Drug. She later transitioned into public service as a government employee with the Department of Agrarian Reform. Driven by a lifelong dream, Cecilia immigrated to the United States, where she proudly continued her career as a pharmacist at Cook County Hospital. Known for her exceptional work, she dedicated herself fully to everything she did. Upon retiring, Cecilia found her ultimate joy and happiness in caring for her beloved grandchildren.

Cecilia passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 25, 2026. Cecilia was the beloved wife of the late Enrique Distor Sr.; loving mother to Ronald Distor, Elizabeth Cabral, Erick Distor, and the late Agnes Distor; devoted daughter of the late Dionicio and the late Timotea Limcuando; dear sister of the late Dr. Manuel Limcuando, the late Atty Alvaro Limcuando, the late PharmD Aureo Limcuando, Dr. Emiliano Limcuando, the late PharmD Julieta Vitancol, the late CPA Dionicio Limcuando, and the late A.A.S. Isabella Yambot; cherished grandmother of Russell Cabral, Nichole O'Connell, Syron Distor, Ethan Distor, Malia Distor, and Rachel Distor; great grandmother of Maddie Distor, Journee Murray, Daxton Distor, Maeve Cecilia O'Connell, and Jace Murray; dearest mother-in-law of Sylvia Distor, Rolly Cabral, Anne Campbell, Norwinda Reyes, and Catherine Rodica; fondest aunt of Jilbert and Jeanette Yambot; dearest grandmother-in-law of Elena Orozco, Michael O'Connell, Hali Cast, Christina Distor, Jack Donahue, and Jamaal Murray; survived by pet grandkids Bronson, Maulie, Shaggy, and Ralphie; fond cousin and friend of many

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 5th, 2026 at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W Lawrence Ave from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will begin at 9:30 a.m. the next day at the funeral home and proceed to St. Eugene/Queen of Peace Parish for a mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Maryhill Cemetery.
