Catherine Ita McElvaney age 104, at rest on June 19, 2025. Ita was born on January 13, 1921 in Shanagolden, County Limerick,  Ireland to the late Parick Walsh and the late Ellen (nee Madigan) Walsh. Beloved wife of the late Patrick. Loving mother of Patsy Petruzzi, Marian (Thomas) Lupo and Colleen (Dan) Neustadt. Cherished grandmother of Sarah (Scott) Asselborn, the late Joey Petruzzi and Lizzy (Mike) Alebich, Brian (Melissa) Lupo, Jeanine (Nick) Loechel, Charlie (Katy) Lupo and Marty (Julie) Lupo, Melissa (Matt) Nations, Matt (Wren) Neustadt and Jaclyn Neustadt. Great grandmother of Anthony, Vinny, Tessa, Michael, Lilyona, Shaylah, Brendan, Norman, Una, Edie, Vivian, Louie, JoJo, Leo, Rowan and Noah. preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Ellen, Kieran, Bridie, Tess, John, Jimmy, Patrick and Anna. Fond aunt of Many. In lieu of flowers, donations to the The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation or Breast Cancer Research Foundation would be apprecitated.  Visitation for Ita will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 9:30 am until time of funeral service at 11:30 am at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Illinois. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Il.
