Casimir “Casey” Kaczor Sr.

March 3,1939 – November 28,2022

Casimir “Casey” Kaczor Sr., aged 83, passed away peacefully at his Wisconsin home on November 28th. Casey was the beloved husband of the late Jolanta Kaczor for 57 years. A loving father to Mary Ann Kaczor and Casey (Ann) Kaczor Jr. The youngest of 12 children, he was preceded in death by his parents, Jan and Marianna Kaczor and all of his siblings. A wonderful grandfather to Jennifer (Nenad) Draca, Christopher and Michael Kaczor. Great grandfather to Natalia Draca.

From Obidowa, Poland, he arrived as a young man and made Chicago his home for most of his life. After retirement, he moved to Delavan, Wisconsin and Green Valley, Arizona where he spent half the year in each area, enjoying the best of both worlds.

He was very active in the Polish community. Never forgetting his roots, he organized many fundraising events to help restore and renovate his beloved family’s parish church in Klikuszowa, Poland.

He was an avid sportsman. Loved golfing, biking and the outdoors in general but being a true “goral”, Polish Highlander, skiing was at the top of that list. He participated in the CMSC ski racing series in the Midwest, winning many trophies in class. Also serving as the Tatry Polish Ski Club president for 8 years from 1989 – 1997.

He had a love of travel and adventure that led to many trips exploring the whole of the United States and other cultures internationally.

Casey very proudly served in the US Army and was based in the Panama Canal Zone in the Isthmus of Panama during his deployment.

Having a 40+ year career in the tool and die industry, his talents were noticed and he worked his way up to being Chief Engineer. Coming up with many innovative solutions to complicated manufacturing processes, putting him at the top of his profession.

In the name of innovation, for the last 9 years of his life, he actively sought to do what he could to help Mayo Clinic in their research efforts to get closer to finding a cure for Alzheimer’s, a familial disease.

It was important to him to try to help future generations, not suffer from this debilitating condition.
So in lieu of flowers, donations to The Mayo Clinic Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center would be greatly appreciated: https://philanthropy.mayoclinic.org/alzheimers

Casimir “Casey” Kaczor Sr will be greatly missed but fondly remembered for the profound mark he made on his family, friends, community and all the other lives he touched throughout his life.
