Carole Ann Dinkelman, a long-time resident of Glenview, passed away suddenly at the age of 82. She was born and raised on the Northwest side of Chicago where she attended Notre Dame for Girls and Schurz high schools when she met her husband, Herman Dinkleman, of almost 40 years. They started a family and she chose to be a stay-at-home mother to raise their two daughters, Dawn and Cherie. She later returned to the job field as a bridal consultant at Carsons, where she worked for over 20 years and fell in love with the job, weddings, and the discounts. She spent an immense amount of time with her grandsons, who she was so proud of and highly involved in all three of their lives. She enjoyed getting together with cousins and many treasured friends. Her selflessness and generosity always went above and beyond in the form of Sunday dinners, celebrating holidays, and making every birthday feel special for family and friends. She cherished family and her prized Swarovski Crystal collection, because every piece reminded her of the person who gave it to her and the moment in life it represented. Each and every piece held special meaning to her. She touched the lives of so many; her presence and contagious smile will be dearly missed by all.
