Carol Gricus

Carol Gricus nee Mack, age 82, passed away with her loving daughter at her side. Carol was the beloved wife of the late Vance V. Gricus; devoted mother of Deb (Jim) Caragiulo; dear daughter of the late Helen and Ernest Mack; loving Doggy mom to Ollie and Cookie; dearest sister of the late Ernie (the late Sis) Mack; and fond aunt of the late Michael Mack.

Carol was born at St Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL. After graduating High School she began her career at The First National Bank of Chicago downtown where she remained for almost 40 years. Carol had a very strong and moral work ethic and served as a Supervisor for a number of years before her retirement. Carol married Vance on July 2nd, 1966 and their daughter Debbie was born 9 1/2 months later. Carol enjoyed bowling, traveling, and dining out with family and friends in her younger years. She also really enjoyed her coffee, her favorite tv shows and movies, and taking good care of their home. Carol had a huge heart for animals, especially dogs. She was a loyal friend to many. Carol had a generous spirit and always wanted to help her family, friends, and neighbors as she could. She was a very strong and determined woman who gave this life her best until the very end.

Interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery.
