November 15, 1934 — July 16, 2025
Carmen A. DeRango (nee Avigliano), age 90, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025. Affectionately known as Carmy, she lived a long, beautiful life full of laughter, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She faced life’s joys and challenges with unmatched bravery, an enduring sense of grace, and a heart full of love.
Carmen was the beloved wife of the late Louis and the devoted mother of Jean (Andrew) Kesseg, James, and the late Joan DeRango. She was a cherished grandmother to John (Diane) Kesseg and Jennifer (Marc) Daher, and a proud great-grandmother to Aiden, Ainsley, and Gemma, who brought so much joy to her world. She was the loving daughter of the late Rose and Michael Avigliano, dear sister of Lorraine (the late Anthony) Vallone and the late Anthony (the late Marlene) Avigliano, and a fond aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Carmen was quick to laugh and even quicker to love, with a natural gift for making others feel at home. Her legacy of strength and compassion lives on in those who were lucky enough to know her.
