Carmen DeLaurentis,92, U.S. Army Veteran of WWII; Devoted husband of Anne nee DiLorenzo for 68 years; Adored father of Theresa (Andrew) Tufano and Angel (Leonard, Sr.) Lanzito; Cherished grandfather of Frank and Anthony (Sara) Meccia, Leonard, Jr. (fiancee Margherita), Dino, Anthony (fiancee Mary) and Deanna Lanzito; Loving great-grandfather of Carmen, Toni, Bianca and Raffaele; Dear brother of Dolores (John) Aretos, late Philomena (late Don) Fields, late Anthony (late Jenny), late Mary (late Stanley) Ferdinardo, late Nick (Gloria), late Madeline (late John) Fosco, late Sam (late Jackie) and the late Joseph (late Anna Marie); Fond uncle, great-uncle and friend of many. Former member of CTDU and Teamster Union Local #705; Lifelong resident of Taylor Street's Little Italy Neighborhood; Lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Pompeii; Carmie was a diehard Chicago White Sox fan; 1997 Recipient of the Donald C. Funeral service begins Saturday at the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. proceeding to Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii for 10:00 a.m. Mass.
