Carmela Ryan

Carmela Ryan passed away peacefully July 30th, 2022. Born in Chicago to the late Mercurio and Rosa Geraci.
Loving mother of Donald (Roseann), Rick (Colleen) and Jeffrey (the late Michele).
Loving grandmother of Donald III (Erika), Frank (Jill), Thomas (Kelly), Jennifer (Brendan), Rachel (Ryan), Michael (Grace), Joseph, Jeffrey Jr., and the late Mathew.
Great grandmother to Juliana, Emerson, Brendan Jr., Tegan, and Leesa.
Carmela loved to volunteer at the Del Web community where she lived. She would help whenever she was needed. She loved traveling, playing cards and bocci ball. She was a food connoisseur and loved making Christmas cookies every year for her children and their families. Carmela also enjoyed watching football on Sunday afternoons. Unfortunately, she would root for the Packers much to the dismay of her family. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org would be appreciated.
Visitation Friday, August 5, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral services begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to St. Monica Church in Chicago for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove, IL.
