Brendan Dobbin

Brendan O. Dobbin, age 81, Retired Detective with the Village of Norridge, IL, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2020. Brendan was the beloved husband of the late Shirley, nee Bonesteel; loving father of Julie (Ken Potratz) Dobbin; dearest son of the late Stephany and John Dobbin; dear brother of the late Gerald Dobbin, and a fond uncle of many. Brendan enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking. He made homemade wine and craft beer, and loved socializing with friends and a glass of Jameson's. Visitation Wednesday, February 12, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to St. Rosalie Church in Harwood Heights for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
