Betty Jane (Elizabeth) McElroy, born on April 1st, 1954, to the late Jane and Patrick McElroy, passed away peacefully on July 21st, 2024. Betty is survived by her loving family, including her brothers Johnny and Robert. She now joins her brother Richard Oberlies and sister Marilyn Renkas in heaven. She was a devoted aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and their many children, whom she cherished and loved deeply. Betty was an incredible woman who dedicated her life to making others happy and comfortable with her positive demeanor and generous spirit. She ensured her only child, William, enjoyed a lifetime of grand memories and unwavering support. With a pure, loving heart, she always went above and beyond to help others. A strong believer in Christ, she lived with a clear sense of purpose both here on earth and beyond. Betty will be dearly missed by her family and friends

Memorial visitation Thursday, July 25th 2024 from 12:00 pm until time of prayers at 1:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove, Il. Please omit flowers.
