Barbara Ellen Moss

Barbara E. Moss (nee Bradof) 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 15, 2026. Barbara was the beloved wife of the late James R. Moss; loving mother of Beth E. (William II) Abanathie, David J. (Deborah) Moss and Lisa (George) Mari; dearest daughter of the late Pearl (Disch) and the late Frederick Bradof; cherished grandmother of Chelsea (Thomas) Schmidt, Karen (Annaeka Johnson) Mari, Dr. Susan (Mark Riseman) Mari, Madison Abanathie, Natalie Abanathie and Dylan Moss; great grandmother of Evelina Schmidt. She was a devoted sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend of many.

Barbara was a devout member of Acacia Park Lutheran Church where she was involved in Sunday School, the Alter Guild, Choir. She was a member of one of the founding families in Norridge. She loved books and reading, animals, baking and travelling.

Visitation Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until an 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service at Acacia Park Lutheran Church 4307 N. Oriole Ave., Norridge. The interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery in Northlake, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to Acacia Park Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
