Barbara E. Guerra (Bowers), age 84, passed away unexpectedly in her home on July 2, 2024. Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Michael J.; loving mother of Daniel J. (Minerva), Michael (Theresa) and Jimmy (Kathy) Guerra and Debbie Zoerink; daughter of the late Alma and Walter Bowers; cherished grandmother of Marlenna (Cole) Krohn, Daniel, Jr., Elissa (Andy) Barbosa, Melody and Jon-Michael (Bethany) Guerra,
Jimmy (Tracy), Scott (Andrea) and Joseph (Lauren) Guerra, Jason (Tabitha) Zoerink; great grandmother of many; sister of Judy and the late Steven and Jim Bowers; fond aunt of many.
Barbara was a Eucharistic Minister, Lecter, Catechist, and a devout member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Chicago. Donations in Barbara’s name to One Tail at a Time at www.onetail.org or St. Sylvester Catholic Church would be appreciated.
Visitation Monday, July 8, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to St. Sylvester Catholic Church (Jesus Bread of Life Parish) 2157 N. Humboldt Blvd., Chicago for mass at 10:00 a.m. and the interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles. For more information call (708) 456-8300.
