Austin James Kennedy, age 86. Passed away February 20, 2016. Austin served in the United States Marine Corps. 1st. Marine Division Recon Unit. He was a proud member of the 'Chosin Few' in the Korean War. He Served 33 years with the Chicago Police Dept. Retired as a Lieutenant. Beloved husband of Dolores (nee Daly) for 61 years. Loving father of Debra (John) Hogan, Scott (Mary), Laura and Michael (Kristen). Devoted grandfather of Brian, Brittany, Nicole, Austin and Kaitlyn. Dear brother of Paul (Lorraine) and James (Judy) and the late Mary. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday Feb. 24th. 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral service begin Thursday Feb. 25th 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home and will proceed to St. Francis Borgia Church, Mass 9:30 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
