August Battaglia

August "Jay" Battaglia, age 83, passed away peacefully at his home on November 10, 2020. Jay was the beloved husband of Denise, nee Fletcher, for 35 wonderful years; loving father of Dean, Alexis and Johnna Battaglia, Melanie and Shannon Armstrong; dearest son of the late Mary and August Battaglia; cherished grandfather of Brandon, Austin and Chandler; dear brother of Mickey (Nancy) and the late Sam (the late Lucille) and the late Marty (the late Stella) Battaglia. He was a fond uncle of many and a proud and loving master to his dog Domino. In lieu of flowers, donations to Advocate Lutheran General Hospice would be appreciated advocategiving.org. Visitation Friday, November 13, 2020 at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.(Funeral Service 6:30 p.m.) Due to the current health guidelines, we are limited to 25 attendees at a time. We kindly ask that you quickly exit the funeral home after paying your respects to the family so that all visitors have an opportunity to enter. Please wear masks and use proper social distancing. Until further notice, the coffee room is not available for use. Please refrain from bringing food or beverage into the funeral home. The interment will be private.
