Audrey Klafta

Audrey L. Klafta, nee Lizak, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2022. Audrey is the beloved wife of James J. for 63 wonderful years; loving mother of Paula Klafta, Jerome (Laurie) Klafta M.D. and M. Jennifer (Karl) Huff; cherished grandmother of Kristen (Kenneth) Stauffer, Kimberly Klafta M.D., Brian Klafta, John Klafta and Emily Huff; great grandmother of Felicity, Clara and Reagan; dear sister of the late Barbara Lizak. Audrey was a proud graduate of Mundelein College. She was active in Religious Education and a devout member of Divine Savior Parish in Norridge where she spearheaded Support the Troops fundraising. Audrey loved to travel, particularly taking international cruises with her husband Jim, and she loved to entertain her family taking great pride in hosting extraordinary family gatherings. Her love for her family was immeasurable. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to Divine Savior Church in Norridge for Mass at 10:30 a.m. The interment will follow at Saint Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Niles.
