Armida Curran, nee Arrivi, age 95, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2023.
Armida was a loving spouse and mother who with her husband raised and supported 4 children and later in life was a devoted caregiver for her mother, Mary, her mother-in-law Josephine, and her husband Edward through his battle with Parkinson’s Disease. A livelong Chicagoan, her stories of growing up with the city were full of history and humor. Her sense of humor was evident to her dying day when she joked with the priest and her assembled children in her last hours. A tenacious fighter, she overcame open heart surgery and several brain operations. She will be sorely missed.
