Anne A. Haftl, nee Nahorniak, 86, at rest May 22, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Ronald H. for 64 years; loving mother of Ronald M. (Norine) Haftl, John Haftl and Cindy (Herman) Voelz; cherished daughter of the late Michael and Alice Nahorniak; devoted grandmother of Heather (William) Niemeyer, Aaron (Chandler Cortina) Haftl, Adam (Aleece) Haftl, Kevin (Anna) Voelz, Keith (Amy Ingoldstad) Voelz and Kyle (Jennifer) Voelz; great grandmother of Matthew, Gabriella, Liam, Kaiden, Jace, Colton and Easton; dear sister of Michael (Mary Rose) Nahorniak, and she was a fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Anne was a resident of Norridge and Harwood Heights for 62 years, and she was a lifelong member of the "Women of the Moose" in River Grove. Anne was an active member at Our Lady, Mother of the Church in Chicago, and she taught CCD for many years. She worked for Fast Tax as an office manager. In her free time she enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, and loved going on cruises to anywhere warm and sunny. Anne was quite an artist and enjoyed painting in watercolor, even displaying some of her work in the Eisenhower Public Library in Harwood Heights.
Visitation Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to Our Lady, Mother of the Church 8747 W. Lawrence Ave., Chicago for Mass at 10:30 a.m. The entombment will follow at Crucifixion Garden Mausoleum within St. Joseph Cemetry in River Grove.
