Anna Puchniarz

Anna Puchniarz, 90, nee Sawicki, dedicated wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed into God's hands from natural causes in her home on April 24, 2016. Born in Poland November 2, 1925, she lived through World War II, and then met and married her beloved husband, John (deceased 2007). They emigrated from post war Germany in 1949 to start a new life in the United States. She was a cherished mother of Christine, John, Donna (Jim) D’Amico and Barb (Larry) Horstmann. She also leaves behind five adored grandchildren, David (Amalia), Valerie and Alison Horstmann, Alec and Elisa D’Amico, great grandchild Landon, and her cat Cutie Pie. Visitation Friday May 6, 3 to 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave, Norridge. Funeral Saturday May 7th, 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home and will then proceed St. Celestine Church in Elmwood Park for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Entombment Mary Mother of God Mausoleum at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
