Angeline "Angie" Gulino, nee D'Antonio, age 87, a long-time resident of Melroe Park, IL, died Tuesday the 14th of May at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. Born in 1931 in Chicago, Angie grew up in the Chicago area where she graduated from high school and met her husband Salvador Pasquale "Sam" Gulino. They were married on December 8, 1951.Angie's administrative skills and expertise in office management allowed her to excel as an office manager at her local parish, St Charles Borromeo and for the Hillside, Illinois school district. She was a wonderful loving wife to her husband Sam for 41 years. Angie had 5 sisters and 3 brothers and was the Family matriarch until her death. Angie loved Italian food and socializing. Her joy in life was preparing large Sunday dinners for her Family and anyone who happened to stop by welcoming them with a wonderful smile that could light up a room. She is survived by her children Steve (Beth) Gulino, Suzanne (Jimmy) Vondruska and Sam (Liam) Gulino; grandchildren Gareth (Jennifer) Gulino, Carla (Ryan) Harris, Carlie (Ryan) Thompson and Chelsea (Jarrod) Richardson; great grandchildren Liam, Will, Nolan, Norah and Carson. She was preceded in death by her 8 siblings Dominic, Anthony, James, Justine, Ann, Rose, Jenny and Mary, and she was a fond aunt to many. Visitation will be Friday May 17 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to Shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Melrose Park for a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside. For more information please call 708-456-8300.
