Andres Diaz, 74, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026. Andres was born on January 20, 1952, in Potrero De Cháidez, Tepehuanes, Durango as the oldest of six siblings, and spent his later years between Chicago, Illinois and Tingüindín, Michoacán.Andres shared nearly his entire life with his beloved wife, Anna. Together, from a very young age, they grew through every chapter of life side by side. They raised four children and watched their family grow to include ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The life and family they created together were his greatest source of pride.Throughout his life, Andres was known for his determination, resourcefulness, and incredible work ethic. He held many roles over the years, including tool and die maker, restaurant owner, landlord, and auto mechanic. He later owned two auto repair shops and an avocado farm. Whatever path he took, he gave himself fully to it and showed his family what could be accomplished through perseverance and hard work.Andres had a sharp mind and a lifelong curiosity, especially when it came to history. He loved spending time outdoors, enjoying apple pie, and being surrounded by the people he loved. His family knew him as a man whose advice carried weight and whose knowledge seemed endless. As the head of the Diaz family, his presence brought strength, guidance, and a sense of security to those around him.He is survived by his devoted wife, Anna; his children, Victor (Alma), Maria, Andres Jr. (Frida), and Adriana; his grandchildren, Bianca (Ben), Ashley (Kieran), Alexandria (Nathan), Andrew, Isabel, Daniel, Andrea, Elsa, Erick, and Anna; and his great-grandchildren, Layla, Kinsey, Harper, and Solomon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Angelina and Pedro.Andres leaves behind a family shaped by his love, strengthened by his example, and forever grateful for the life they shared with him. His presence will be deeply missed, but the family he and Anna built together will carry his memory and legacy forward for generations.
