Alice was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 23, 1929. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and beloved Nana whose greatest joy was her family.
Alice was the beloved wife of the late Eugene Danhoffer. She was the loving mother of Geralyn Anderson and Cindi (John) Dittrich. Dearest grandmother of Bry (Keith) Lauck, Matt (Vanessa) Houdek, John Ryan Dittrich, Ryan Anderson (Melissa Kosirog), Nick (Heather) Anderson, Jake Dittrich and Ali (Connor) Fedderly. She was the cherished Nana of Kaitlyn, Kowen, Olivia, Max and Charlotte.
Alice's family was the center of her life, and the love she shared with them will remain a treasured part of their lives forever. Her kindness, warmth and devotion created countless memories that will be carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed, but her love and legacy will continue through her family and the generations that follow.
Visitation for Alice will take place on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, Illinois. The funeral will begin on Monday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home and proceed to Holy Virgin Martyrs Parish (St. Beatrice Church) in Schiller Park for a 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice's name to Holy Virgin Martyrs Parish would be greatly appreciated.
Alice will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. Though she is now reunited with her beloved Eugene, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. May she rest peacefully, knowing she leaves behind a family who will cherish her memory always.
