Alessandrina "Sandy" Zupo, nee Caira, age 82, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025. Sandy was the beloved wife of the late Frank; loving mother of Ralph (Jeannine) Zupo and Carmela (the late James) Trunzo; dear daughter of the late Michelina and Michele Caira; cherished grandmother of Dominic, Alessandrina, Francesca, James, Christopher, and Caira; dear sister of Ada (John) Ferraro, the late Carmella (Vince) Pisto and the late Annunziato Caira; and beloved aunt to many.
Visitation is Sunday, January 5, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home, and then proceed to St. Eugene Church in Chicago for Catholic Mass at 10:30 a.m. The interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to Marklund, serving children with special needs (marklund.org) are appreciated. For more information call (708) 456-8300.
