Alberto Camarena falleció pacíficamente rodeado de su amorosa familia el 3 de agosto de 2026. Alberto fue el amado esposo de Ciria Camarena durante 48 maravillosos años; padre devoto de Albero Jr. (Rosa) Camarena, Blanca (Erik Gutiérrez) Camarena y Sandy (Humberto Gómez) Camarena; querido abuelo de Jovany (Lavondne Williams) Gutiérrez, Aaliyah Gutiérrez, Matthew Camarena, Abrianna Gutiérrez, Danny Camarena, Andrew Camarena, Kimberly Gómez y Jordan Gómez; amoroso bisabuelo de Giovanny Gutiérrez; querido hijo del difunto Crispiniano y la difunta María Camarena; y querido hermano, tío, primo y amigo de muchos.

Alberto nació el 7 de abril de 1953 en México. Desde muy temprana edad aprendió lo que significaba ser responsable y trabajar en condiciones tan difíciles de experimentar para un niño. Nunca se quejó de la vida que le dieron, sino que la tomó como una forma de perseverar y ser fuerte.

Alberto vino a los Estados Unidos con la esperanza de construir una vida mejor para él y para su futura familia. Conoció a su esposa, Ciria, cuando ambos tenían poco más de 20 años, a lo largo de todos esos años ha demostrado su responsabilidad hacia ella y ha demostrado que estaba listo para pasar el resto de su vida con ella. Era un amante silencioso desde las dulces palabras y regalos que le daba a su esposa, hasta la forma en que se aseguraba de que la nevera estuviera siempre llena de sus comidas favoritas. Se aseguró de que su esposa tuviera un lugar al que llamar hogar no solo en los Estados Unidos, sino también en la casa que habían construido en México. Dándose mutuamente la oportunidad de criar a tres hijos. Trabajó tan duro como pudo con el pensamiento y las esperanzas de un entorno estable y seguro para tener una gran familia

Uno de sus mayores orgullos y reflejo de su arduo trabajo es su jardín, su patio perfectamente mantenido y cada verdura y planta cuidada en cada temporada de primavera que compartió con su familia. Nunca fue el tipo de persona que renunciara a nada, encontró formas de reutilizar y arreglar sus viejas herramientas, reparar su camión sin importar lo mal que estuviera su estado, pulir sus propios zapatos e incluso reemplazar partes del reloj que amaba tan profundamente

Un hombre tan merecedor de una vida que coincida con su corazón amoroso. Superó tantas cargas y luchas, pero nunca dejó que eso interfiriera con el amor incondicional que tenía por su familia, el jardín y una vida mejor, no solo para él, sino para su familia. Una mente y un cuerpo que fueron derribados y heridos tantas veces, pero encontraron una manera de volver a ponerse de pie y seguir luchando. Constantemente peleando, pero rara vez quejándose del dolor que había tenido durante años y nunca mostró ningún signo de que quisiera rendirse. Vio y escuchó a su familia cada oportunidad que tuvo hasta su último aliento

Es la persona más fuerte que conocemos en mente y cuerpo, la forma en que nos sostuvo a todos sobre sus hombros, nos dejó colgar de sus brazos, y construyó un patio trasero con columpios y cajas de arena para que sus nietos tuvieran un lugar para jugar. Construyó mesas para que toda su familia tuve un lugar para reunirse. No importa qué obstáculos vinieran a su mente, nunca lloraba ni se quejaba, solo decía "Hay que seguirle dando". Nunca dejó que nadie más viera o manejara sus cargas, incluso si le costó una pelea más larga y más dura. Asegurándose de que supiéramos cuánto nos amaba y cuánto lo amábamos, incluso cuando no era físicamente capaz de decirlo. Nos enseñó una forma de amor más allá de las palabras que se llevará entre la Tierra y el Cielo

La visita tendrá lugar el viernes 14 de agosto de 2026 en Cumberland Chapels 8300 W Lawrence Ave de 3:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. El servicio funerario seguirá al día próxima, el sábado, la reunión en la funeraria a las 9:30 a.m. y luego procederá a St. Sylvester Church/Jesus Bread of Life Parish para una misa a las 11:00 a.m. El entierro será en el cementerio de Todos los Santos. Alberto Camarena passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 3, 2026. Alberto was the beloved husband of Ciria Camarena for 48 wonderful years; devoted father of Albero Jr. (Rosa) Camarena, Blanca (Erik Gutierrez) Camarena, and Sandy (Humberto Gomez) Camarena; cherished grandpa of Jovany (Lavondne Williams) Gutierrez, Aaliyah Gutierrez, Matthew Camarena, Abrianna Gutierrez, Danny Camarena, Andrew Camarena, Kimberly Gomez, and Jordan Gomez; loving great-grandpa of Giovanny Gutierrez; dear son of the late Crispiniano and the late Maria Camarena; and dearest brother, uncle, cousin, and friend of many.

Alberto was born April 7, 1953 in Mexico. From a very early age he learned what it meant to be responsible and work in conditions so difficult for a child to experience. Never did he complain about the life he was dealt, instead took it as a way to persevere and be strong.

Alberto came to the U.S. with hopes to build a better life for himself and for his future family. He met his wife, Ciria, when they were both in their early 20s, throughout all those years he has showed his responsibility towards her and proof he was ready to spend the rest of his life with her. He was a silent lover from the sweet words and gifts he gave to his wife, to the way he made sure the fridge was always full of her favorite foods. He made sure his wife had a place to call home not only in the US, but also the house they had built in Mexico. Giving each other the opportunity to raise three children. He worked as hard as he could with the thought and hopes for a stable and safe environment to hold a big family.

One of his biggest prides and reflection of his hard work is his garden, his yard perfectly maintained and each vegetable and plant cared for in every spring season he shared with his family. He was never the type of person to give up on anything, he found ways to repurpose and fix his old tools, repair his truck no matter how bad its condition was, polish his own shoes, and even replace parts of the watch he loved so deeply.

A man so deserving of a life that matched his loving heart. He overcame so many burdens and struggles but never let that interfere with the unconditional love he had for his family, garden, and a better life not only for himself but his family. A mind and body that was knocked down and hurt so many times but found a way to stand back up and keep fighting. Constantly fighting yet rarely complaining about the pain he had for years and never showed any signs of him wanting to give up. He saw and listened to his family every chance he got until his very last breath

He is the strongest person we know in mind and body, the way he held us all on his shoulders, let us hang from his arms, and built a backyard with swings and sandboxes so his grandchildren had a place to play. He built tables for his whole family to have a place to come together. No matter what obstacles came to his mind, he never cried nor complained, he’d only say “Hay que seguirle dando.” He never let anyone else see or handle his burdens even if it costed him a longer and harder fight. Making sure we knew how much he loved us and how much we loved him even when he wasn’t physically capable of saying it. He taught us a form of love beyond words that will carry between Earth and Heaven.

Visitation will take place on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W Lawrence Ave from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will follow the next day Saturday, meeting at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. then proceed to St. Sylvester Church/Jesus Bread of Life Parish for a mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery.
