Albert J. Kreitzer, of Schiller Park, at rest Aug. 5, 2012, Navy Veteran of WWII, beloved husband to his childhood sweetheart, the late Victoria for 67 years; loving father of Allen (Mischele) Kreitzer, Gregory Kreitzer and Phyllis (Thomas) Grzeskowiak; fond grandfather of Chris (Melissa), Craig and Jason Grzeskowiak, Allen and Anthony Kreitzer, Jennifer Kamouiz and Kristina Kreitzer; step grandfather of Lorraine and Jonathan Eichholz; great-grandfather of Emily, Ashley and Christopher Grzeskowiak and George Kamouiz and Daxton Wolff; fond uncle of four nieces and nephews; dear brother of the late Nicholas (the late Helen) Kreitzer and the late Anna Kreitzer. Albert was a 59 year resident of Schiller Park, first generation American, he took pride in his parents and their heritage. He graduated from Lane Tech in 1940. He married Victoria in 1944 and was drafted into the Navy during WWII. He served in the Naval Air Corps from 1944 until 1946 and flew in the Pacific Theater. He worked as a tool and die maker and retired from Die Masters-Bally 30 years ago. He was president for 10 years of the Senior Citizens Group, Autumn Leaves in Schiller Park. He was honored to fly on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. and said it was the greatest experience of his life. He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Visitation Wednesday, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral Service Thursday beginning at 9 a.m. at the funeral home proceeding to St. Beatrice Church, Schiller Park for Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum.
